Perfactory from Envision |
 |
The Perfactory® Concept
Modeler is designed for the end user in creative branches who requires
fast and cost-effective translation of 3D-CAD data into physical
models. These branches include Product- and Industrial Design and Model
Building. Perfactory® might also be of interest for model hobby
enthusiasts. With the Standard system you achieve pixel resolutions
between 148µm and 93µm. Layer thickness can be adjusted
between 50µm and 150µm |
 |
In the past, setting up and
running a Rapid Prototyping system has been highly cost intensive. Not
so with Perfactory®, it can easily be acquired even by one-man
design bureaus. Standard material costs are well below market
standards, while the material offers physical properties competitive to
resins several times more expensive. The number of wear parts to be
changed is limited to the light source and the Polymerisation Basement |
 |
Designed by a leading German
Industrial Designer, Perfactory® as a standalone system fits nicely
also into modestly sized environments. It requires no special
installations and takes no more than 0.3 square meters office floor,
has low noise and zero dust emissions. Material supply in sealed and
leak proof cartridges makes handling the build material clean and easy. |
 |
Use data created with your 3D-CAD
system, your Free Form Modeling software, or data acquired with a
3D-scanner. For medical applications, layer data acquired with MRT or
CT system can be processed. In any case the data has the be provided in
STL- or CLI format.
Via an ethernet interface, the Perfactory® can be directly
connected to the user PC or can be integrated into the network.
As Perfactory® has an embedded operating system, it works
independently from the user PC and is operated and monitored using a
device driver software set up on the user PC. The software offers Auto
Mode and Expert Mode: in Automatic Mode, you just have to load your
3D-CAD data in STL format into the software, and everything else is set
up automatically. Thus, even beginners can take full profit from the
advantages of Rapid Protoyping. |
 |
The Perfactory® process is
quite simple: The selected 3D data model will be prepared for the
process in the Perfactory® specific RP-SW; the data model will be
sliced and the data slices will be converted into a bitmap format
necessary for the mask projection via DLPTM-Technology from Texas
Instruments. Then, each layer of the object will be photopolymerized
while moving up the support platform step by step (layer by layer). |
 |
Perfactory® cures the build
material layer by layer and not spot by spot. This makes build speed
independent from part size and geometry. Perfactory® Standard has a
build speed of approx. 10 to 20 mm Z-height build-up per hour. For this
new approach, a DLPTM (Digital Light Processing) Technology based
projection system is integrated into Perfactory®. |
